KEY ACHIEVEMENTS


  • Integrated the Tridion Content Management System (CMS) into ApartmentGuide.com allowing easy management of text, multimedia, and advertisement content.
  • Implemented numerous Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies into ApartmentGuide.com taking the indexed page count from approximately 35,000 pages to over 137,000.
  • Designed and implemented strategies for website optimization reducing page load times from 15 seconds to 2 seconds or less. This allowed for greater user retention and increased website revenue by over $500k annually.
  • Took part in the design and implementation of back-end web applications that support the ApartmentGuide.com website. These applications increased productivity company-wide by 80% and saved over $300k in company resources annually.
  • Implemented strategies to improve both AtlantaCutlery.com and MuseumReplicas.com resulting in an increased annual revenue of 2.2 million dollars (up from 400,000).

Atlanta Cutlery Corporation Conyers, Georgia

From 2010 – Present

Position: IT Manager

  • Built, deployed and maintained a full corporate network consisting of over 40 client workstation, servers, printers, and fax machines.  Client and server machines consist of Windows, Apple, and Linux operating systems.
  • Migrated the organization’s email and calendar applications from Microsoft Exchange to Google Business Services.
  • Maintained and administered the corporate database application ensuring data integrity and order fulfillment.
  • Administered FTP services for client downloads of graphical assets.
  • Setup, customized, and administered a robotic engraving machine system.
  • Designed and deployed a full network with Point of Sale services for a new retail store.
  • Supervised the design and installation of security and surveillance systems for a new retail store.
  • Was responsible for technical support and billing involving web-hosting providers and third-party service providers.

  • Created and maintained retail e-commerce websites for AtlantaCutlery.com, MuseumReplicas.com, Windlass.com, and WindlassStudios.com.  These websites utilize the AspDotNetStorefront code base and are heavily modified using C#, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, AJAX, SOAP, Visual Basic, MS SQL Server, and T-SQL.
  • Integrated all e-commerce websites with existing back-office software for seamless order retrieval and fulfillment.
  • Planned and implemented all new code projects for both consumer-facing and internal web sites.  This involved task organization and prioritization for all reporting staff.
  • Created and implemented email marketing campaigns for over 30,000 recipients.
  • Took part in planning, shooting, and editing a series of Internet commercials resulting in over 300,000 views and increased web-customer traffic.

  • Took part in designing and developing ApartmentGuide.com; an online apartment listing service which currently hosts approximately 25,000 listings. This site makes use of ASP.Net (C#), XHTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, AJAX, SOAP, VB Script, Oracle, PL/SQL, and Tridion CMS.
  • Architected and implemented the integration of the Tridion Content Management System into ApartmentGuide.com.
  • Jointly architected and developed NewHomeGuide.com which is an online service that allows visitors to search for new homes throughout the United States. This site makes use of ASP.Net (C#), XHTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, AJAX, SOAP, VB Script, Oracle, and PL/SQL.
  • Implemented an innovative new user interface for Rentals.com utilizing C#, XHTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, AJAX, and Flash.
  • Helped to develop RealEstate.com; an online service which allows visitors to search thousands of real estate listings which are acquired through various MLS services. This site makes use of HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.Net, XML, XSLT, VB/Com, C#, Oracle, and PL/SQL. This web site is no longer owned by Primedia.
  • Was instrumental in the design and development of “QuickChange” which is an internal tool that allows apartment property managers and internal employees to manage online apartment listings as they are displayed on ApartmentGuide.com. All apartment property listing data is managed through “QuickChange”. This application makes use of ASP.Net (C#), HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, Oracle, PL/SQL, MS SQL Server, and Microsoft Reporting Services.
  • Took part in the development of a thin-client VB application called “Diva” which is an application that allows internal users to add and edit data that is to be displayed on the NewHomeGuide.com web site. This application makes use of Visual Basic, VB/Com, MS SQL Server, and T-SQL.

Position: Programmer / Analyst

  • Was instrumental in the development of the company’s “ErpXtend” product (formerly “WebPro EX”). “ErpXtend” is a business-to-business ERP system utilizing a web front-end which can interface with any number of legacy Progress database systems. This application makes use of HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, Webspeed, and Progress (database & language). It is currently in use by companies such as Snapple, Carlson Systems, and Martin’s Herend.

Position: Desktop Support / Intranet Admin

  • Designed and developed the intranet application which is used by the southeast customer service department. This application provides up-to-date telephone network information, call-center performance statistics, and other information necessary for customer service representative productivity. This web application was built using MS ASP, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, VBScript, MS SQL Server, and Flash.
  • Provided second-level PC and network support to over 600 end-users.
